Hail Willowguards!
It has now been over two months since the launch of Willow Guard, and since then we've gone through a whole bunch of updates - with a whole bunch of updates still coming! But today marks the start of the Steam Summer Sale, which is the first time since the launch that Willow Guard is on sale - so get it now while it's...hot?
Version 1.2.6 is a minor release in content, but sets up some things under the hood for a future, bigger release. It includes:
Fixes UI scaling issues for different aspect ratios, including the Steam Deck - the screen should no longer be cut off at the default resolution.
Fixes the scaling of the minimap for certain resolutions.
When unequipping and equipping equipment, they are now appropriately moved to/from the main inventory view.
A few minor bug fixes (unequip button being visible in the Craft menu e.g.)
Major: Upgrades (e.g. Oil of Sharpness, Shadowstep) to Offence and Defence can now come in two types: Additive or Override. Additives work the same as previously, while Overrides force the replacement of the current upgrade. No more having three different colors pouring out of your blade during dungeons, sorry! (meaning: if you have Oil of Sharpness and want to add Serrated / Poisoned Blade, it will dump your Oil of Sharpness into your Discard deck).
A few other minor hickups here and there.
Enjoy, and enjoy the summer sale, Willowguards! (as always, the demo is also updated, and the saves are compatible!)
