Special Event: Do your part to support Operation Rogue Core!

Hello Miners,
We’ve got a critical situation on our hands.
An enormous electromagnetic pulse has just erupted at the core of Hoxxes IV, sending ripples throughout the entire planet. It’s brought all our deep-level Expenite extraction operations offline — we’ve lost contact entirely. If that wasn’t bad enough, we’re seeing a spike in Core Stone encounters, and the lethal Core Spawn that come with them. Emergency Action Protocol ‘Minefall’ is in effect.
It’s time for Operation ROGUE CORE. Management has dispatched an elite squad of Reclaimers to the depths of Hoxxes to breach and secure the mine sites that have gone offline. But while the Reclaimers are deployed near the core, we need your help to ensure your own work sites stay operational.
Management is seeking volunteers to assist in the new ‘Reclaimer Collaboration Initiative,’ where mining crews help support our brave Reclaimers in mitigating this crisis.
This is more than a matter of life and death. Company profits are at stake here.

Exclusive Assignment: ‘Operation ROGUE CORE’
This is a time-limited special event in celebration of the Early Access launch of Rogue Core. It will be live in Deep Rock Galactic starting on Wednesday, May 6th and it will run for a whole two months, ending on Thursday, July 9th.
THE ASSIGNMENT: Four missions. In each one, you must close Core Rifts to prevent further disruptions in the cave system. These missions will be flagged with the new ‘Core Corruption’ warning, meaning you can expect to encounter increased Core Spawn resistance, even if you don’t come across a Core Stone.
THE REWARD: Completing this entire assignment will unlock all the components for the standard-issue Reclaimer Combat Pickaxe. Some steps of the assignment will reward more than one component. You can mix and match these pickaxe parts with all the rest, of course — or run the complete set to honor our brave Reclaimers deployed further down.
Like we mentioned above, this event is one of our few time-limited assignments — so you'll need to complete it by the time the event ends to snag the striking combat axe of the Company’s finest!
Even though Rogue Core is only planned for PC Early Access at the moment, this special event will be available on console versions of Deep Rock Galactic as well. It'll go live up to two weeks later, pending console-specific certification processes.
ROGUE CORE: Launching to Early Access on May 20th
A lot of you have been following Rogue Core’s development for a while, and the release date is almost here — it’s launching to Early Access here on Steam in just two weeks!
If you're just hearing about Rogue Core now, here's what you need to know:
- It's a spinoff of Deep Rock Galactic. We've expanded the world of DRG into the perspective of the Reclaimers, the Company's elite in-house security force. You'll be able to play as five all-new classes, each with their own special skills and fancy gadgets.
- It's faster-paced and more intense. You'll need to stay on your toes and keep your head on a swivel. Combat is more frequent and the game is tougher — but failing a mission isn't quite the setback as it is in DRG.
- It's a co-op roguelike. Rogue Core explores DRG's 1-4 player co-op gameplay in a roguelike format: this means you'll gather a new set of weapons and upgrades each mission, snowballing into powerful builds and elemental synergies.
Rogue Core takes place in the same world and timeline as Deep Rock Galactic, but deeper down near the core of Hoxxes IV. You’ll step into the boots of the elite Reclaimers, and fight your way through hordes of Core Spawn abominations in fast-paced special ops missions to secure infested mining facilities.
