We’ve been very busy building the game, and our current beta testers have been playing a huge role in shaping it by finding bugs, sharing feedback, and helping us improve each update before release. Still, development moves fast, and testing everything thoroughly takes time.
By opening the beta to more players, we’re giving you the chance to directly influence how the game evolves and help us deliver a more stable, polished experience with every update.
We’ll be releasing frequent beta updates, usually about once a week. These builds are intentionally unfinished and experimental, which means things may break, balance may be off, and bugs will absolutely sneak in, and that’s exactly the point.
As a beta tester, you’ll get early access to upcoming content and features while helping us test new dice, trinkets, weapons, abilities, enemies, and bosses. Your feedback will actively help shape balance decisions, design tweaks, and overall polish before each update goes live.
You'll need to go to your Steam's Library and find Die for the Lich. Find your way to the game's properties...
Then go to Game Versions & Betas.
In the Private Versions field type BetaRollingDice123 and click Check Code.
Now make sure you have ticked the beta-test button.
Congratulations you're now officially a Beta Tester!
P.S. Make sure you go back to the default version if you want to play the public version.
Report bugs!
You can go to our discord and post bugs in the bugs-forums.
You can also do it in game by pressing the Report a Bug button in the main menu.
We also have a Steam discussions post for bug reporting.
So you found a bug, what should you do?
Create a post.
The post report should include the version of the game when the bug appeared (top right corner in-game).
Write a short explanation on what was happening before the bug.
(Optional) Screenshot if you think that helps.
(Optional) Write a simple steps instruction to recreate it.
We will try to get back to you as soon as possible, but it might take a bit, so don't worry we see the post.
We have a bunch of new enemies ready for you to slay! Including a new boss fight for ACT 2 and some Asia inspired creatures like Penanggalan and Amanojaku.
Also there is new UI, it is visualization for how many extra dice you can roll after critical.
We're hoping this would help people understand the critical system better.
New boss, Ifrit.
New boss minion, Djinn Rusty Shield.
New enemy, Amanojaku.
New enemy, Penanggalan.
Chance to spawn Ifrit instead of Vetala on Act 2.
Rollable dice after critical indicators on top of the tray.
Frozen Child can roll only 1 frozen die.
Ghost Saber can roll 3 Ghost Dice.
Sai can roll 10 D4s.
Molten Six can roll 6 D6s.
Skull Basher critical apply 1 stack of Bones Explosion to target.
Ghost Mask only gains a die from attacks.

Hope you guys enjoy the new version and the weekend.
