You read that right, I am currently working on a multiplayer mode for the game.
I am developing it in a homemade way: it will be efficient, will not rely on any external servers and, in short, it will be a game mode that is always available.
I am optimizing it to keep latency and bandwidth usage very low.
This will take quite a bit of time, as it is literally “a whole new game” in terms of code.
For those who are interested, I am posting videos of the multiplayer mode, which is still a work in progress, on the Discord server.
I am also developing a small anti cheat system to secure matches.
Playing together should be much more fun, even if it makes the overall game experience easier.
See you soon !
