Two weeks of 'Purgatory'

So, two weeks of Purgatory's Demo being out.

I've been working non-stop on Purgatory's full game featuring a different - and much more diverse than a greyscale office - environment, so already looking back at the demo it feels like a different game.

And, according to Steam's very helpful analytics, a total of 28 people have played the demo! 28! Now, that might not seem like a crazy amount, especially when compared to 135 people wishlisting the game prior to this release, but honestly, I'm grateful anyone's played it at all when I've done next-to-zero marketing for the game!

Additionally, and anyone can fact-check this for me, at least SEVEN people have finished the demo as of writing this, indicated by that bottom achievement!

And, absolute best for last, that's just the players! EIGHT-HUNDRED, SIXTY-SIX PEOPLE have added it to their library! THAT IS A LOT! And I'm hoping there's just a lot of people out there like me who download free things left-right-and-centre and don't touch them until I have zero things better to do, and that these are all real people who'll get there... eventually.

Kickstarter!

14 days since the start of the 'Purgatory' Kickstarter, £55 was raised! ...That was in the first couple days, and then it kind of plateaued, 46 days still left to go, but if it was to stay at this rate, the project would not be successful.

I'd like to clarify for anyone who's not seen any of my other mentions of it, but this is 100% okay! This money would NOT be vital for Purgatory's fulfilment and does not mean development would stop. Yes, this would be a massive help to Purgatory in extending its application with other OSes, languages, etc., but if it's really that necessary, I'm sure I'll find a way to fund that myself in the future. Whether it works or doesn't, you're getting a game. That said, it would still be super super duper cool to see that extra stuff happen and offer something in return, so if you feel so inclined, you can find, and maybe even support it, here!

Feedback

From both strangers and friends, I've had some very very heart-warming feedback.

'Purgatory Demo' has two positive reviews out of 2 on Steam!

I've received some messages on Kickstarter from backers asking for more details, but saying that the game looks cool, which in itself, is a win!

I've also reached out to a couple YouTube/Twitch creators I'm a fan of to offer Purgatory as a game they might possibly enjoy or maybe even want to stream, and, GET THIS, one responded and said Purgatory being featured on stream will probably happen! Isn't that so sick?

And finally, I've been notified of a couple bugs in game which have since been fixed to some people's delight!

But what about YOU!

Enough about me!

I'm urging you, if you've given the demo for Purgatory a try, speak up! What did you love? What did you hate? Which character we've met so far do you think is the hottest?

Respond to this post, leave a public review, anything! My #1 priority at the moment is to gain as much feedback as possible and adjust accordingly, so please please please, the stage is yours.

Summary

Purgatory has had as good a start as I could possibly ask for! People have played, some people have even enjoyed! And I have more energy than ever to keep pushing through the rest of the game and deliver a story to you that I don't think you'll be able to forget.

Leave those reviews! Leave those comments! Spit yo truth!

Ben out!!!
