First of all, I wanted to tell you that the game is not on pause, but that I am working on it every day.
Episode 8 will probably not be longer than the others for any player. But, in terms of work, it is the longest so far. The reason. The large number of routes it includes depending on your decisions. Decisions that not only determine the fate of the characters, but Erika’s own fate as well. Decisions that make the playthrough different for every player. A player who gets along well with a girl might have that same girl as an enemy for another player. A player who has a date with a girl, another player might have a date with a different one that same day. And a player who is not having sex with a girl to continue her story until the end, another player may have already eliminated her by having sex with her. And that, in turn, also changes the story.
In this post I am going to give you some spoilers about some of those decisions that change the story so much. In addition, I am going to introduce you to two new secret characters.
As you already know or, if you do not know, I will tell you now, when Lilith asks Erika if she can take a bath in her place in exchange for spending a bit of demonic power, if you accept, you unlock a secret route where the first secret character appears. Ai Misora, a girl with an apparently ordinary appearance who introduces herself as a new student in Erika’s class and with whom we will have to meet more requirements to see the rest of her story.
Now let’s talk about two other secret routes that the game includes.
This girl is the first of the new characters and her name is Mei Xie, she is Chinese. To unlock her, basically you must lose all your university friends, who are Megumi, Nicole and Nanami. As you already know, if you have sex with a girl, you gain demonic power in exchange for her being eliminated from the rest of the game. But that is not the only way to lose her. Depending on your decisions, the girls may hate Erika and want to stay away from her. If you manage to make the three of them disappear from Erika’s life, either one way or another, this girl, also a classmate of Erika, will approach her and they will become friends. What happens next depends on your choices.
The second new girl is called Himari Shimizu. Continuing with the line of the first girl, to unlock this one you also have to lose something. In this case, your job at the maid cafe. As you all know, Erika works at the maid cafe to be able to afford rent, household expenses and her studies. It is a job that pays very well, but that involves wearing an uncomfortable maid uniform all day and roleplaying a personality different from your own until the shift ends. This job, depending on your choices, can be lost. If this happens, for now I have two jobs planned. The first would be at Nicole’s clothing store, which will only be possible if you are on Nicole’s route and if she, obviously, is not eliminated from the story. The second job would be as a waitress in a café. Like the maid cafe, only the salary would be lower, although with a more comfortable uniform. In this job you can meet Himari, your coworker, and become her friend. Once again I say that how the relationship progresses depends on your decisions.
When you unlock one of the three secret girls, her image and her number of points appears in the Statistics button in the pause menu, like the rest of the main girls. And, depending on your decisions, these points will increase or decrease. Unfortunately, this is only possible starting from episode 8 out of the 12 in total. And episode 12 does not count because it is the epilogue, so the relationship can only develop in episodes 8, 9, 10 and 11. It is not much, but I will do what I can to create good backstories for them and a good story with them if you decide to get closer to them.
