The new update for Another Star brings numerous bug fixes and a new backend to the game, but it needs testing before it's ready to go live for everyone. If you're feeling adventurous, consider opting in to the beta by following the steps outlined below.
- Go to your Steam library and find "Another Star". It's probably in your favorites, right? Of course it is.
- Right-click (or ctrl-click if you're on a Mac) on the game in your library and select "properties".
- There should be a tab in the properties window called "Betas". Select that.
- In the drop-down box, change the "NONE - Opt out of all beta programs" to "beta - Open beta testing branch". (Don't worry about the access code; it's an open beta so you don't need one.)
- Click close. The beta version should be queued to load and download soon.
