This new balance patch is all about draft! We’re making targeted adjustments to 11 Key Cards to shake up the format and breathe new life into your Draft experience! Our goal is to elevate underrepresented factions and ensure every pick, strategy, and draw matters.
Draft Buffs
The upcoming adjustments bring fresh potential to some overlooked cards, empowering players with new tactical potions and revitalizing strategies across the board. Moreover, with these changes, struggling factions gain the resilience they need to stand strong against early-game attackers, Nomads, and damage-based removal. Stormwatcher, for instance, now serves as a steadfast Primal defender, making it a formidable obstacle against aggressive attacks and targeted removal, not to mention a valuable asset in your arsenal!

- Sparrow Augur gains Flying
- Cobalt Beetle to 2/3 (from 2/2)
- Called Shot to 3 cost (from 4 cost)
- Daring Pathcutter to 4/5 (from 4/3)
- Amethyst Beetle to 2/3 (From 2/2)
- New Prey to 4 cost (from 5 cost)
- Frontier Scout to 2/3 (from 2/2)
- Infamous Huntress to 2/2 (from 1/2)
- Chameleon Hide to 2/2 (from 1/3)
Since Stormwatcher and Chameleon Hide are getting streamlined with reduced health, we are offering a Shiftstone refund for crafted copies!
Draft Nerf
In addition to the buffs to help Shadow and Primal, we have one targeted nerf to an overperforming card that has contributed to the increased presence of Fire and Recruit in the top-performing decks.
- Tandem Strike to 3 cost with “One of your units Hunts 1. Recruit.” (Was 4 cost and “Hunts 2”)
Crafted copies of Tandem Strike will be eligible for a Shiftstone refund.

Hope you are caught up on your reading for Chapter Books 1 & 1 because Chapter Books 3 & 4 hit the digital shelves today!
As a reminder: Each book will unlock 6 past chapters for play as well as immediately grant each chapter’s avatar and 4x copies of the premium cards. If you already have the premium cards, you’ll receive extra copies which can be destroyed for shiftstone. To get the non-premium versions of the cards, you’ll have to play through the chapter as normal.
