In Stage 2, you'll face heroes from the Royal Knights, whose attack power has been significantly enhanced, alongside new monsters designed to counter them.

After you successfully completed your first dungeon design, the human king dispatched the Royal Knights to the dungeon.
Can you design a dungeon that will satisfy the elite Royal Knights of the human kingdom?

The Royal Knight heroes, clad in red armor, have three times the attack power of the standard heroes.
The first knight you encounter, despite being a "Tank," has stronger attack power than the "Damage Dealer" heroes from previous stages.

Therefore, instead of matching them with durable monsters, it is more effective to counter them with monsters that have strong attack power, allowing you to quickly satisfy the knight's expectations.

This time, a Royal Knight hero appears alongside a regular hero. If the "Tank" hero deals too much damage, it can interfere with fulfilling the "Damage Dealer" hero’s expectations.
However, in this map, the only "Tank" hero is from the Royal Knights, and their attack power surpasses that of the regular "Damage Dealer" heroes. Without the right strategy, the "Tank" hero may end up dealing the damage that the "Damage Dealer" heroes need to fulfill their expectations, making it harder for the "Damage Dealers" to succeed.

Here are two strategies the player can utilize:

  • Place just enough monsters around the "Tank" hero to barely meet their requirement, while positioning other monsters farther away to limit the damage the "Tank" can deal.
  • Focus attacks on the "Tank" hero to quickly fulfill their expectations and eliminate them from the battle.

Next, a "Damage Dealer" swordsman from the Royal Knights makes an appearance. In this map, they appear alongside regular swordsmen.

Since the Royal Knight swordsman has even higher attack power based on their already powerful stats, a typical placement strategy will result in the Royal Knight swordsman wiping out all the monsters, making it difficult for the regular swordsmen to deal enough damage.
You’ll need to strategically place monsters to ensure that the Royal Knight swordsman is defeated after just meeting their damage requirement, allowing the regular swordsmen to also have a chance to deal damage.

A good strategy here is to split your monster forces into two groups—use the first group to handle the Royal Knight swordsman appropriately, and then use the second group to deal with the remaining regular swordsmen.

Midway through the stage, you'll be able to deploy the new monster, the Orc Axe Thrower.

By using the terrain effectively, the Orc Axe Thrower can be a powerful counter to "Tank" heroes.

Finally, you’ll encounter the Royal Knight archers. Like the Royal Knight swordsmen, they serve as "Damage Dealer" heroes.
While it’s still effective to aim to defeat them at the right moment, since they’re ranged attackers, it might be harder to execute this strategy.
To counter this, you'll unlock a new monster—the Goblin Thief.

In this map, the Royal Knight archers are placed behind the regular swordsmen.
While other monsters can’t attack the archers first, the newly unlocked Goblin Thief can be placed near the heroes without any restrictions.

This allows you to place the Goblin Thief behind the archers, giving you more strategic options to choose from.
