The A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American ground-attack aircraft designed to destroy vehicles.
The A-10 can carry up to 7.2 tons of weaponry on 11 hardpoints, including AIM-9 Sidewinder short-range missiles for self-defense, as well as a wide range of American precision-guided bombs (such as JDAM and Paveway) and other munitions.
The A-10 reaches a maximum speed of approximately 800 km/h, and its AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles are capable of engaging targets at ranges of up to 10–18 km, complemented by JDAM and Paveway precision-guided bombs.
