Jeepney Simulator 2 · published · build 16630235
With the help of Mocha Oat and our lovely audience, we were finally able to vanquish the dreaded "Stuck on 'Day X'" bug! Apparently, the bug occurred when the players bought a lottery ticket and found a way to delete it in the game (depositing it in Billy's Office, paying it as change, etc.). Whenever the player ends the shift, the lottery system would look for the tickets to delete them, but if they were already deleted, the code would encounter an error, and the loading screen wouldn't go away.
This was one of the worst bugs we've ever encountered, and we never thought it would be from the lottery system. This just goes to show the importance of playtesting and how complex game development can be, even on a seemingly simple game such as Jeepney Simulator 2. Again, we want to thank you all for your help, and please don't hesitate to message us on Facebook if you ever encounter any bugs!
