Alpha League: The Return – New Updates, Rewards, and Reopening Plans!

Greetings from the Alpha League Operations Council!

As you’re aware, Alpha League HQ has been “under construction” since September 30, giving us nearly 40 days of downtime. This pause is all about revamping our base, taking on some unexpected technical “mini-bosses,” and prepping the League to welcome Defenders across all platforms.

Despite a few bumps in the road, we’re on track! If all goes as planned, we’ll be reopening the League in mid-December. And to give you a sneak peek of what’s coming, we’re excited to share some big updates and the rewards waiting for you when we return!

What’s New in Alpha League?
1. New Trait System – Now, as your Defender rank (like Stellar or Multiverse Defender) goes up, you can unlock traits that customize and power up your hero. Picture this: Malachite can choose to sacrifice his ultimate ability for a speed buff he’s been craving, or go full physical caster for a totally new gameplay style!
2. Revamped Attributes – Out with the complicated “physical/magic damage reduction” and in with simpler, intuitive stats like “Armor” and “Magic Resistance” for easier strategy building.
3. Visual & UI Overhaul – We’re giving everything a fresh look, and can’t wait to show it off! In the coming weeks, look out for new screenshots, videos, and even a playable demo.
4. Retiring the Shard & Card Level Systems – We know this might disappoint those who’ve invested a lot of time and resources here, but we believe this change will foster a healthier, more accessible League. Don’t worry, we’ve got a detailed plan for compensating our dedicated players.
5. Server Merge – Asia and Southeast Asia servers will merge, with the new data center based in Hong Kong for improved connections.
6. Cross-Platform Play – Besides regions with specific restrictions (like Mainland China and Vietnam), Alpha League will launch on Google Play and iOS, supporting cross-platform play, with extra optimization for Steam Deck!
7. Performance Boosts – We’ve tackled some of the past PC lag issues and ensured smoother gameplay on mobile.
