Gather your hunting buddies because the multiplayer is here! Experience the thrill of a hunt with up to 6 players and strategize together to bag the biggest trophies. The update also adds a new animal, Roe Deer. This medium sized deer is one of the most commonly hunted deer species in Europe.
Take on randomized hunting challenges that can be found outside the outposts. These challenges are randomly generated to offer a new way to approach each hunt and give players objectives to complete! Explore the map to find new campsites that can offer valuable information about the surrounding animals to trophy hunters.
- Multiplayer with up to 6 players added to the game

- Players can host private and open games
- Players can host games to the lodge or to the hunting reserve
- Private games can be accessed with a password or room ID
- Games can be hidden from the server list
- Host can kick, ban and blacklist players
- Players can choose which save to use when joining a game
- Players can access multiplayer after completing the tutorial
- Added hats, vests, face scarf and sunglasses to the game
- Players get random garments at the start of the game
- Hats are visible to the players but can be hidden

- Added randomly generated hunting challenges outside each outpost
- Challenges vary in three difficulties: easy, medium & hard
- Challenges have a large variety from taking down a single animal to using a specific weapon to hunt several animals in the night.
- You can have up to three active at the time
- Active challenges can be seen and removed from the in-game menu
- They reward money based on the difficulty and complexity
- In multiplayer each player has their own challenges
- Statistic book on the bookshelf keeps count of completed challenges
- Added several campsites around the map
- These sites can contain interesting information about the surrounding animals
- To reward exploration, they are hidden on the map until found
- Map in the mobile tracker will show these campsites at close distance
- Added new campsite icon to the map
- In multiplayer each player has their own observation notes
- Added clovers to the grassland biome
- Added heath to the mountain biomes
- Added separate ambient audio to the rest of the leaf forests
- Increased the light shaft's size
- Improved lighting on the terrain
- Added hand poses to zeroing and zooming the scopes
- Changed the In-game menu to open faster
- Added compass to the mobile tracker
- Added controller vibration when shooting
- Added new loading screen image to the main menu
- Decreased the size of the equipments info-panels in the store
- Adjusted animal spawns
- Changed the game’s icon
- Pop-up notification text in main menu changed and improved
- Moved inventory lock button slightly forward
- Fixed an issue where animals could appear as a rare fur instead of a common fur
- Fixed an issue where rare fur red deer didn’t show trophy image in the harvest screen
- Fixed an issue where fallow deer and wild boar caller could be placed in the wrong slot in the store
- Fixed an issue where players sometimes fall through the map
- Fixed an issue where track highlights didn’t get disabled when they were turned off
- Several smaller fixes to animals
Price Increase And Leaving Early Access In January!
With this major update, Virtual Hunter is feature complete and we aim to release the game out of early access in January! We will also increase the price from 19.95€ / $19.99 to 24.50€ / $24.99. The game will be sold at a higher discount in the upcoming sales, so you and your friends can hop into multiplayer with a cheaper price! We will release more information about this later and to remind you about the price change.
