Hi Aquanauts!

Today we released a second bigger update for Stardiver. It addresses a lot of your feedback and enhances the gameplay in few places. If you are interested in the game further development and want to help in it by giving us feedback, please join our Discord server here:
https://discord.gg/aPJv62zjTW

What’s new?

First of all, we have a first free content update for you:

  1. New ship to build in the base!
  2. Two new rare plants added for all the collecting fans out there :)

Other important things are FOV sliders for both a cockpit view, and a swimming in first person view. You can now adjust them to your liking. It should help especially for those of you who are getting motion sickness easily.

Complete list of improvements and bugfixes

  • New ship to build in the base!
  • Two new rare plants added for all the collecting fans out there :)
  • Deadzones added for the gamepad to prevent accidental dodges/dashes
  • FOV slider setting for the cockpit view
  • FOV slider setting for the swimming in first person view
  • Screenshot mode button added to the menu for easier access
  • Displaying resources names on hovering them in the base
  • A part of a large mine removed from one of the chests - could lead to bugs
  • Target system added to objects available to scanning after the fight with the mech
  • Now you can change a difficulty level to Legendary in the settings dropdown (of course, if you have previously finished the game at least once)
  • Wider cave in the mining-tool mission
  • Dialogues in the mission 20 now makes more sense
  • Base ship’s speed slightly increased
  • Changed behaviour of a generator in the mission 13 to the standard one
  • Caves are now more water-like and a little bit darker
  • When changing bindings you can now click with the mouse and change with the gamepad
  • Returning info after leaving a cruise mode
  • Lack of instructions after defeating Nosozaur
  • An engine sound reenable itself after leaving the base (even when disable engine sound option selected in settings)
  • A billboards in the game now correctly break into smaller pieces after shooting it with the rocket weapons
  • Unwanted control changes to gamepad (because lack of deadzone)
  • Very quiet music while fighting Medusaur
  • Sera_phine (AI voice in the mission 20) is too quiet
  • After leaving the base there is no ship for a while if a cockpit view is enabled
  • Two yellow pointers instead of one if you leave the ship from a cockpit view
  • No ship icon on the minimap after leaving the ship (a bug connected to a cockpit view only)
  • Water settings are now properly reflected in the cockpit view of the first ship
  • Opening a screenshot mode during tutorial breaking the intended behaviour of the game
  • Ship auto-moving a little bit after the second cutscene

This second update nicely wraps up the initial period of all the improvements and fixes you wanted us to do since the release. Thanks for pointing them out, the game is certainly better now! We also introduced all the changes we had in our minds for the past months. That led to a game state that we are very satisfied with. We hope everyone will enjoy the game from now on 🙂

Best wishes,
Green Planet Games team
