Today, We have released a brand-new launch trailer for our Metroidvania game "DEVIATOR". The trailer showcases the game's parry-based combat, enhance mechanics, and level scenes in greater detail.
Additionally, it officially announces the release date and pricing that players have been eagerly anticipating.
The game will be available on Steam in Early Access starting August 2nd. The standard edition will be priced at $6.99, and the deluxe edition, which includes the soundtrack, will be priced at $9.99. During the first two weeks, players can enjoy a 10% launch discount.
Early Access Launch
The world of DEVIATOR was once under the protection of a "god," developing in an orderly and normal fashion. However, it is now in chaos due to an uncontrolled chaotic force that is gradually disintegrating and distorting the world. The protagonist, once called the apostle of the "god," is sent to eliminate the chaotic force and restore the world to its original state. But the truth is often not that simple...
In the Early Access version, the game will offer areas with different themed styles, from the lush Mossland, eerie Burial Grounds, to the ominous Underground Prison, serene Central Canyon, and the mechanism-filled Mechanical City. Several bosses await players' challenges, you can try to beat them with various combinations of combat skills and runes. The normal playtime is approximately 7-10 hours.
The full version release is expected to take about a year. We plan to update with more map areas, combat skills, runes, more monsters, bosses, and endings, with the total content volume expected to reach more than double that of the Early Access version, providing 15-20 hours of experience. Stay tuned!
Exciting Combat
The game’s combat centers around parry. Not only does a successful parry provide a sense of accomplishment, but it also offers gameplay benefits. For example, the unique "Enhance" mechanic allows players to accumulate energy through attacks and parries, pushing their limits. Characters will enter an enhanced state with increased attack range and damage, making the combat both visually appealing and satisfying. Compared to the Demo, the details of mechanics like Enhance and Parry have been updated in the EA version, offering a more balanced and comfortable experience.
As a challenge for players, numerous powerful enemies and bosses have also undergone iterations. These provide a more immersive performance, allowing players to fully utilize the parry features. Players will find joy in mastering the game through struggles and ultimately achieving victory.
Deep Exploration
The EA version offers exploration of multiple areas, each with distinct scenery and interconnected paths. By unlocking new abilities like double jumps and wall jump, new routes can be accessed, revealing more secrets for players to discover.
