Dear all

It’s been a week! And I just want to thank everyone who played and reviewed Ynglet!

Ynglet started as a game jam experiment between me and Sara Sandberg (who has made graphics for several of my other games). I was still learning Unity, and wanted to experiment with its physics. Somehow I thought of Ecco the Dolphin, and wanted to try to make a game like that but with bubbles in the sky. I didn’t actually know Ecco already had this; in fact I had never played it at all, so the game jam experiment was more based on my idea what Ecco might have been like.

I started development on Ynglet in 2018 together with Triple Topping. I was excited to be back in Copenhagen and wanted to include the city as an element in the game. Don’t tell the Danish Film Institute who funded us, but I also included the idea in the game because I knew they’d like it.

It feels great now that Ynglet is finally out.

I’ve been watching and chatting in streams, and it’s great to see people have so much fun with the game.

Hotdog (who for those that don't know, is the best dog) is also enjoying watching people play Ynglet.

She only asks that more people can buy Ynglet so I can buy her more dog food.

(Hotdog also says thank you to everyone who has bought and played Ynglet already, because as noted, she is the best dog.)

And again from me,

Thank you for playing my game!

Nifflas.
