Hello, Villains of Undead Onslaught!
Last time, we unveiled our Roadmap with the key features coming in Update 1.1. Some of the details may have been cryptic at first, but today we’re excited to dive into the specifics of what’s in store for you in this major update. Get ready to face new challenges, unlock powerful rewards, and unleash even more chaos in the world of Undead Onslaught!
Boss Mechanics and Special Attacks
We’re thrilled to introduce a major overhaul to our boss encounters! From now on, each boss and nemesis hero will come equipped with a unique set of mechanics and special attacks. This means every fight will be far more dynamic and challenging, keeping you on your toes as you navigate through these intense battles. Prepare for a more engaging and strategic experience as you take on the most formidable foes the game has to offer!
Is the Bird Mother gonna just charge at us? That's crazy...right? RIGHT?!
There are also overhauled bosses in this update! Village Hero, for instance is now the best bowman in the village!
Nemesis Heroes have also trained hard to try and even the odds!
Special Map Features: Challenge Altars
Previously known as Baphomet Statues, we’ve expanded and refined these features into Challenge Altars. These unique map objects now offer you the chance to interact and activate time-limited events that will test your skills and strategies. Successfully completing a challenge will reward you with either an Upgrade Orb (Boss Reward) or a brand-new reward item: the Upgrade Scroll. These scrolls are crucial for powering up your arsenal, so be sure to seek out these altars during your runs!
You will notice a whole array of new map activities now! The Challenge Altars will be shown as en exclamation mark (!) on your minimap!
Head over there and accept the challenge!
Survive the challenge!
Hero Mechanics Rework: Part 1
This update marks the beginning of our rework of hero mechanics, starting with your villains’ default weapons. Weapons are now separate from abilities and have their own dedicated slot. While they can still be upgraded through traditional level-ups, this is capped at level 5. However, with the new Upgrade Scrolls, you can push these weapons beyond their limits! These scrolls allow you to upgrade specific stats without any restrictions—go ahead, unleash your inner villain and create the most fearsome weapons imaginable!
Yup, that means an extra Weapon slot to slaughter the forces of Good with!
New Feature: Quests
We’re also introducing a brand-new Quests feature! Periodically, you’ll receive quests from a randomized pool, each requiring you to travel to a specific location and defeat a camp of unique enemies. Some of these camps may even be guarded by a mini-boss, offering extra rewards for those brave enough to take them on. Completing these quests will grant you valuable rewards, including the highly sought-after Upgrade Scrolls.
Kill those pesky interlopers!
And gain powerful rewards!
New Playable Villain: Varkath the Defiant
We’re excited to announce the addition of a brand-new playable villain: Varkath the Defiant! Once a Royal Marksman, Varkath has turned to the dark side, and now you can harness his lethal skills to wreak havoc on your enemies. Unlock Varkath and add his unique abilities to your arsenal of destruction!
A new Villain joins the fray!
