Don’t Die in the West is getting a new name, new price and going to Gamescom

Don’t Die in the West has been through many changes during Early Access, and today, we’re excited to share what's coming in the next few months.

First, we have some big news - we're changing the game's name! Don't worry, there's no trouble with the sheriff. Since starting our Early Access, the game has evolved and undergone many significant changes. Your fantastic feedback has shaped it into a cozy and wholesome adventure game. While we still live the action-adventure aspects, we also want you to be able to hang up your spurs and relax with your friends or alone. Maybe even build a trophy room, or grow a pumpkin or two.

The key word here is wholesome. Don’t Die in the West is beloved for its charming art style, quirky characters, story, crafting, and sense of adventure. Because of this, we feel the current name no longer represents the game as well as it should. We know change is hard, and we’re still a bit emotionally attached to the old name, but it's time for something new. So, please welcome our new name: Wild Indigo Ranch.

With a focus on exploring the Wild West, building, crafting, and unraveling the story, Wild Indigo Ranch better represents what our game is all about. We are working with Steam on changing the name in all the right places, and plan on having it live in the beginning of August.

Now, for our second announcement: On August 5th, we will be increasing the price of Wild Indigo Ranch to better reflect all the added content that has been introduced during early access. The new price will be $19.99. Until the price increase takes effect, you can still buy it for $12.99/€12.79, and right now, you can get it at a great discount. If you or a friend are thinking about getting the game, now is a great time before the price goes up.

Lastly, we are excited to announce that we will be at Gamescom this year as part of the Indie Arena Booth. If you are in Cologne, Germany between August 20-25, make sure to visit the Wild Indigo Ranch booth to play the latest version of the game and chat with us.
