Greetings Psycogs,
We are super excited to share with you a great news! Our next major content update is right around the corner! Titled: Ascension, it will follow up on where we left off the story during Chapter 1 and introduce new elements of lore, new fights and obviously new cards!
But before going more in depth with its content, let’s check out our Game’s Director letter to the community:
Dear Psycogs, On behalf of the entire Mutants: Genesis team, we would like to thank you for your unfailing support since the start of early access, your constant feedback and your constant encouragement. Being able to talk to you and see how much you like the game, particularly on our community discord, is a very important source of motivation and encouragement for us. This first year of Early Access has been a rich one in many ways: the arrival of Time Rifts, the mobile version (iOS coming soon), the many ranked seasons in which you've fought hard, the Simulacrum (even the Extreme mode couldn't resist the most valiant among you), and above all, even if it's something less visible to you, the major work on stability and bug-fixing on the game, have made this a very beneficial year for the game, which has been able to consolidate its foundations. Today, to celebrate the start of this second year of Early Access, the team is very proud to finally be releasing the sequel to our campaign, which you seem to be looking forward to just as much as we are: Chapter 2: Ascension. After passing the Atika trials and being named captain of the Panakeia Junior Team, it's time for you and your two companions to get back into the thick of things. In this new arc, you'll be travelling to the 4 corners of the world to take on the biggest corporations and their champions. Each sub-section corresponds to a corporation represented by one of the game's 6 genes, and the confrontations will lead you to meet some colourful characters, learn about their personal histories, and battle them for the title of Xtrem Junior League of the Year. In this new arc, you'll learn more about the world of Mutants: Genesis, not to mention your rewards: new cards with every victory! We hope you enjoy this story arc and that it lives up to your expectations. As for the sequel, we've still got plenty of surprises in store for you. If you want to know which one I'm personally most looking forward to, I invite you to re-read our last article, in which you'll find a sneak preview of the next boss you might come across after this arc 2! To conclude this letter, I'd also like to thank and welcome all the new Psycogs who join us every day. Mutants: Genesis is above all a community game that needs its players to thrive. So here we are guys, a new chapter opens up on the world of Mutants: Genesis!
Let’s now dive into how this content will be released and what you can expect!
A new part of Chapter 2 will be released every 2 weeks, introducing a corporation, its leader and of course new cards, rewards and packs to get new skins or cardback!
With 6 Genes, that’s more than 12 weeks of content coming up! Of course, a Chapter would not be complete without its boss. A special encounter that will offer a new challenge to existing and new players as well as as introducing a new Time Rift challenge!
As the new leader of the Panakeia team, you will have to travel around the world to be the very best. This will introduce you to new cards, corporation and gene specific strategies and of course, a cool fight with the leader of another team!
All new cards will be thematized around a Corporation specific gene, and so will be mono-gene! You’ll be able to collect 2 new mutants and a building or support card per Gene. So 18 new cards in total!
In addition to all of this, you will be able to purchase one of our Sponsorship Pack including:
- 2 Skins
- An exclusive card back
- 10 Gene specific capsules to get the new cards

As you can see, there is lot to unpack in the coming weeks, and we are very excited to tell you that the first part of this Chapter will be out on the 17th of July!
