Distant Bloom is a game about exploring an alien planet and bringing it back to life. It's about ecology, sustainability, and love for nature, but it's also about family, friends, and the meaningful journey we can share with loved ones.
Distant Bloom aims to make players of all ages feel happy, cozy, and safe, and most importantly, not alone.
For these reasons, we decided to add "Little Buddy Mode", which allows you to connect a second controller to your PC and have your little kid, sibling, or friend take control of the little robot Kei.ki.
No, this doesn't make Distant Bloom a multiplayer game. All actions in the game will still be performed by the Assistant. However, the second player can keep you company and stroll around with you as you explore the world.
The Little Buddy Mode isn't available right from the start of the game. To enable the option in your Menu, you'll first need to enter the Oasis. Please note that this mode is experimental - tested and compatible with PS4, PS5, and Xbox controllers but untested with other devices on the market.
