Worlds of Aria will let you live its stories later this year but today, we wanted to share with you a little more information about the multiple villains you'll get to meet in our light fantasy RPG!
Even though we are absolutely talking about villains here, they are not the evily dark villains you may know from dark and complicated RPGs. In Worlds of Aria, you will face grandiloquent villains directly taken from a play. We're developing this game with one goal in mind: to create a true TTRPG experience accessible to anyone and playable both with your family or your friends, even if you're younger (or a bit older).
In short: Worlds of Aria is an adventure game easy to pick-up and filled with unexpected turn of events that will allow you to have an incredible time ✨
But first, allow us to talk to you about the Big Villain of this adventure...
GRAND DUKE
Grand Duke the main villain of the plot and he will be the one making the story moving forward. You'll try to catch him. He'll be able to escape.
You'll meet Grand Duke right at the beginning of the game when he hires you to retrieve a mysterious artefact lost in the depths of a tomb. He will accompany you for a brief moment then trap you inside as soon as he has his hands on the prize. This horrible (!!) treason will kick off your adventure inside this colorful universe.
While being a villain, Grand Duke is most of all a person of interest. Indeed, he is the queen's counselor during the day, while he secretly plots for her demise to get the throne at night. As you may have understood it by now, he is far to be someone you can put your trust into!
Grand Duke is obsessed with power and he's absolutely convinced he'll be a better sovereign than the queen Julia. To succeed, he even created a cult called "The Legates" with worshippers of the Enemy God. They don't know it, but them too are being used by Grand Duke for his own profit.
SPADE
Spade is the right-hand man of Grand Duke inside the Legates but also one of the villains in the first Campaign: A Bad Start to a Great Adventure. He's a former army captain who turned to the dark side...
Spade wishes to help Grand Duke seize power in the kingdom, so you will meet him several times during your adventure. He's an ambiguous figure: he works for the bad guys but follows a strict code of honor. He refuses to hit below the belt and above all, he appreciates all a fight led with dignity.
THE DEMONESS
The Demoness will be your direct opponent in the second campaign. The Demoness comes from the Dimlands, a land of magic inhabited only by demons and separated from the rest of the world by a massive wall. To free her people and exact her revenge against the humans, the Demoness only has one goal in mind: to destroy the city of Varna. Luckily for its inhabitants, you arrive at their rescue to prevent such event to happen!
THE DRAGON SORCERER KING
The Dragon Sorcerer King used to rule over the island of Mykronos and every ten years, would force its inhabitants to organize a large feast in his honor and dozens of tourists were invited each time. Vainquished by a group of adventurers a long time ago, everyone believe he is now dead..;
But is he really?
