Dear esports fans,
We hope you are having a splendid summer full of fun and video games! We continue working hard improving Esports Life Tycoon after its Early Access release and we are happy to announce that we have a new update for you. Your feedback and suggestions on the Steam forums and Discord channel are essential to us so, don’t forget to stop by and say hello!
Here are some of the improvements, tweaks and new features that Update 0.6 will bring to the table:
Update 0.6
- Time to take your team to the next level! Characters now have a new trait: potential. This stat will give you a peek at how good they could become. Players with Gold potential will be able to improve much more than those with Silver potential. The same logic applies to the players with Bronze potential. You can check the player’s potential thanks to a new menu button, but it will cost you some money.
- From now on, players will age as they would do in real life. Every season equals a year of their life and they will retire sometime around the age of 23 but, before doing so, they will tell you in advance so you can scout the market for a replacement. Make sure you hire another incredible player!
- Prepare to manage more realistic agreements! Player contracts have been revamped. They will now be measured in seasons having a maximum length of three seasons.
- Players will get your attention when they face their last contact year so you can decide whether you want to renew them or set them free at the end of the season. Are you ready to take the hardest decision?
- When hiring a Marketing employee, you can also choose a secondary sponsor instead of having to wait until the start of the next season.
- Players no longer get tired during preseason. Seize their potential!
- If you decide to play a match instead of resolving it, you can go back during the draft screen to change your decision. You won’t have to regret misclicking again!
- You can rotate your character in the character editor to get the full view!
- Fixed some issues during negotiations so the information displayed now is more precise.
What do you think about these changes? We hope this update addresses some of your concerns as well as giving you some new features that we are excited for you to try out. As an Early Access title, Esports Life Tycoon will continue to add new content during the following months and much of it will come from your recommendations.
