We hope you are having a great time managing the supply of cake and teddy bears within the prison walls. We are taking this time to update you all about the developments at TREBUCHET and the future plans for Prison Boss.

Our New Game is Live on Kickstarter !

First of all, we are very proud to announce today TREBUCHET’s second VR game in the works: Jousting Time! We launched a Kickstarter campaign just now about this new exciting project that we have been working on since the end of 2017. Jousting Time was first created during a game jam in November and we decided to push this concept further with a unique way for VR players and non-VR players to interact. Now about Prison Boss!

The game recently won the “Mixed Reality” award from Microsoft’s Dream.Build.Play contest in March. Yaaaayyy! We were finalist with two other great VR games, Windlands and Racket: NX, so we were very proud of this unexpected recognition.

Since the launch, we did a lot of work on Prison Boss. The game was well polished with the Fall patches that enhanced the progression and added some furniture. We also worked on adding Windows MR and Oculus Rift Support and integrated language features allowing us to translate the game in French and Simplified Chinese.

For the future of the game, we are looking into making a Playstation VR port. This port would allow us to add a simplified locomotion system to the Steam version of the game. We want players to be able to make the game work on Standing Mode instead of Roomscale only.

We are also working on doing a Prison Boss VR content patch for this summer. (Hopefully for the one year anniversary date of the game on August 29th.) We do not want to say much about this since nothing is final, but we want to increase the replayability of the game by adding a new game mode and online high score systems.

As a side note - Languages -

We are wondering which languages would be interesting and valuable for our player base? If you guys are really hoping for your native language to be added to the game, manifest your interest! If we have volunteers to translate the texts from the game we can do more language integrations that the ones we currently have!
