Crashing their way onto the scene from our MAGFest 2024 demo is Headbanger–an accidental creation formed by combining both Dr. Bender and delivery boy Fender into one person! Merging both brains and brawn, Headbanger is ready to join the battle against the extraterrestrial Smogulans!
Concept Art
From artist Steve Gregson, here’s a bit of concept on how Headbanger would look like in the game!
Similar to the original action figure, Fender’s side retains his blue shirt and armband. His necklace color is now purple, and his red sandal has been changed to a flip flop. Also, the design on his shorts was changed to be mostly yellow with green palm tree tops, compared to the figure’s largely inverse design.
As for Dr. Bender’s side, he still retains his white lab shirt, but his in-game design ditches those orange glasses and bowtie on his figure. Also, much of his side has color-swapped parts, such as the pens being individually colored instead of just orange, his pants are now purple and his belt is black, and his lab glove is yellow instead of white! Lastly, his shoe has also changed to have a greenish hue instead of being orange!
Punch, Smack, & Headbutt!
Headbanger’s normal combo involves a mix of a punch by Fender’s side, a smack by Dr. Bender’s side, and a headbutt by Fender!
Dr. Bender’s Latest Creation!
For their special attack, Dr. Bender unleashes his latest chemical experiment–a special kind of toxic Magoop designed to affect anyone seen as an enemy! Holding a flask of Magoop in his hand, Dr. Bender crashes it onto the ground to cause a chemical explosion that damages all enemies around himself and Fender!
In-Game Design
With their distinctive look, Fender and Dr. Bender take on the Radiation Rangers of Dr. Killemoff with a design strikingly similar to their cartoon selves! No one can mistake this two-headed friendly freakizoid!
Radical Moves + Surf’s Up!
Fender shows off his mad skateboarding skills for his Dash Attack and his wicked surfing moves for his Jump Attack! You can spin his skateboard to launch enemies into the air, followed by using the surfboard to drop onto enemies!
