Genesz is sweating blood and fighting to get the update ready for you as soon as possible, but he won't release it half-finished. We don't know how long it will be until it is ready, but once it is ready, we hope to be able to say that it was worth the wait.
The landscape generation is the most difficult part of the whole process, we have to prepare it first so that we can adjust to it and place the possible new buildings and possible settlements.
Some new mechanics are also expected, and if we don't end up dying until then, maybe a more functioning multiplayer will be ready.
In the meantime, please be patient, the game will continue to receive updates, unless Genesz starts making kitty videos.
