I'm excited to announce that the first major update since launch will be releasing September 2nd: the Forgotten Gods update!

This update will feature two new levels, two new weapons, the compendium section of the journal, rune abstraction, controller support, a variety of new enemies, several new runic powers, various other improvements, and bug fixes.

The Fork of Forgotten Gods

This new level is quite challenging, but can be accessed early on from the Traitors' Respite... if the conditions are right. The ruins of the old temples are inhabited by the pægens, who won't take kindly to your presence. The woods hold many secrets, some of which will be needed on your quest. At the edge of the forest, beyond the maze, lies Quallia's Manor and an entrance to the catacombs. Here too you can find the Silseeker, who can expand your journal and aid you in your journey.

The Catacombs of Rites

Below Vilaura lie the catacombs. The blight seeps up from below, making an excellent home for every kind of horror. The key to the Clockwork Tower is sealed away here, the only means of accessing the structure which looms over Iresborough. In the deepest parts, the darkness will surely impede your journey. A light will be required if you wish to progress... but where to find one?

The Pægen Weaver

This new weapon found in the Fork of Forgotten Gods will come in handy for quickly dispatching tough enemies. It quickly fires crystal bolts which track targets and build up a new "crystallized" status effect. Afflicted enemies will explode into crystal shards.

The Grenade Launcher

Found in the catacombs, the Grenade Launcher fires grenades which explode on contact with enemies, and bounce and roll off of surfaces, detonating after a few seconds. It's a bit slow and dangerous at point blank, but great for taking out large enemies and groups alike.

The Silseeker's Journal

This new item expands your journal, letting you track stats like total number of deaths, runeglass acquired, and distance traveled. More importantly, it unlocks the compendium — information on your enemies which expands as you slay them. From time to time, you can return to the Silseeker for a reward.

Rune Abstraction

In the deepest parts of the Catacombs, find Magnus. He can abstract your runic powers, breaking them down into runeglass. Certain runic powers you don't want can be converted into runeglass, leaving behind only the runic power's essence, a useless memory of what once was. If you regret your decision, you'll be able to reacquire the runic power, but at a great cost.

Controller Support

Controller support is finally here! Should work with most standard controllers you can plug into your PC: Xbox/DualSense/Steam Controller. A list of inputs will be provided in the patch notes.
