Introducing: Metro Awakening – A new VR Metro game by Vertigo Games

Deep Silver and Vertigo Games are pleased to announce a new addition to the Metro franchise. Metro Awakening is a story-driven first-person adventure built exclusively for VR and will be coming to Steam VR, PS VR2 and Meta Quest 2+3 later this year.

Developed by Vertigo Games in collaboration with Deep Silver, and written by Metro creator Dmitry Glukhovsky, Metro Awakening allows you to immerse yourself in the heart-pounding, chilling and tense world of Metro in an entirely new dimension.

Set in 2028, you are Serdar, a doctor who has to brave the mind-bending tunnels of Metro to search for his missing wife. This journey will push his mind to the limit – walking a line between life and death, rationality and spirituality, reality and belief. Serdar will experience what he once thought was impossible, awakening the force he is to become.

Lose yourself in an authentic Metro experience as you reload weapons, change your filters, charge your torch, and more, in a tactile experience that VR and Metro fans will love and put yourself into nuclear Armageddon.
