Hey Action Heroes!
Four years ago, we launched Pistol Whip as an on-rails action-rhythm VR game, inspired by some of the most iconic action movies. Since then, we’ve updated the game every single year with free updates for the Pistol Whip community.
We added tons of new features to the game, dozens of new Scenes (did you know we now have over 35 Scenes available to play?), new music genres, Cinematic Campaigns, the highly requested community Remixes (mods), an official modding tool, and so much more to keep you coming back to your headsets.
This year, we’re marking our anniversary by dropping a surprise update, and gifting players with a little something extra for the occasion!
Drive the beat of your favourite Pistol Whip Scenes with the new Drum Gun!
More instrument than gun, the ‘Drum Gun’ is an all-new weapon type for even the most seasoned Heroes (and drummers) out there.
Craft your own music with this rhythm-infused weapon, where each shot, hit, or reload will make a different sound. Moving your hand to different locations changes the sound of your shots!

Behold: Three Other New Shiny Weapons
We heard your feedback about how much you loved Overdrive’s Majesty Scene, with the ability to dual-wield crossbows. So, how about playing with a few other weapons inspired by the Scene?
We've added three new weapons to the game, each expertly crafted by our blacksmiths...er, we mean devs. Find them in the gun case under their specific weapon types:
- Metal Gauntlet (Brawler)
- Dragon Sword (Brawler)
- Witch Pistol (Revolver)
