Hello Retrievers! As promised, a major patch is now ready. For an overview of the patch, please refer to our previous post.

Tutorial Renewal

We have created an entirely new tutorial. The previous tutorial focused on teaching controls but failed to set proper expectations for the experience players would have while retrieving Golden Records. The new tutorial aims to provide more insights into what players will actually encounter in the gaming space.

Teammates 2.0

We’ve made significant changes to the Teammate system, and many Teammates have undergone reworks. Now, Teammates start off in a more “primitive” state and evolve as they continue to adventure with the player. We aimed to keep the initial versions of early-game Teammates as simple as possible to make the learning curve more gentle.

Players can now collect keys from Ender Quests of each situation to upgrade their Teammates. While most upgrades will generally strengthen a Teammate’s abilities, some may require you to take higher risks or utilize the Teammate in different ways, adding a layer of strategy.

Since we're trying to make quick improvements to a system we initially designed, we know there’s much to fix. Your feedback would be highly appreciated.

Basic Formula Improvements

We have removed the randomness in basic formulas and now provide an aura to the position where the next teammate will be thrown. This should lead to more consistent gameplay.

Cabin Graphic Upgrades

We’ve made general improvements to the cabin graphics.
