Today we release Update 0.7 for Movie Night as we progress with development the backend and functions of the game become more robust. We have a lot to share take a look:
Video Player
- All players in the room can now request a video regardless if they are the room master or not
- Recoded how the player fetches the url string so it will wait until all players in the scene are ready to play
Level System
- New player level system added that will track the players xp level and progress. This will be saved in our backend so your progress wont be lost
- XP is earned based on playtime and the xp requirement for the next level will slowly increase as you level up
- No rewards are given at the moment however this level system will give us a really good base to add level requirements for content in the future if we choose to do so
- Level up sound effects and visual effects added on level up
Player Character
- Camera zoom script has now been re-added and completely re-coded it will now smoothly zoom with your scroll wheel and wont interrupt the character controller

Cinema Map
- The NPC behind the counter now has correct lighting
Backend
- Added a ban check throughout the game that will periodically check if the player is banned against our backend
- Added developer console in game with various commands which will only be activated on the developers end
- The game will now check your player information against our backend if it cant make a connection or if your steam is offline it will tell the player
- If the backend goes down or if anything happens i will be immediately notified now

Main Menu
- New main menu music track added to the list

Suburban Home
- The map is now complete featuring a full neighbourhood and redesigned home

Notes
- I will be online in the game as much as I can however its safe to say the rarest achievement in the game will likely be the "Is it really you?" as this will depend on if a developer visits your cinema.
- In the future i want to completely rework the video player if I can and im also looking into subtitle generation for the videos.
- As always let me know what you think and if you notice any issues i might have missed let me know :) And of course keep updated on our trello.
