Super Mega Baseball™ 3 introduced Player Traits to pretty widespread acclaim. The system is bigger and better than ever in SMB4 with 75 total Player Traits; players with traits are more common and many players often have more than one.
Of the 75 new Player Traits, many focus on the strategy of batter-pitcher matchups. Every at-bat is its own duel between your player's traits and those of the opposing player. While the individual is important, Super Mega Baseball is all about teamwork. An all-new Team Chemistry feature takes every player trait on the team into account and links them for unique effects.
Franchise mode is getting new features that take the baseball immersion to the next level. Tired of players leaving in the offseason? Now you can elect to re-sign players ahead of time.
New Player Development Opportunities can fix that, with random chances for position players to upgrade or downgrade their secondary position, for pitchers to learn new pitch types, and more.
The new Shuffle Draft feature that's available in a variety of modes, including Franchise, allows you to create mash-up leagues that combine Super Mega League players, the new Legends, custom players, or any combination you'd like to throw into the player pool.
Set up your Shuffle Draft by picking a league, the players to include in the draft pool, and which teams each person will control in the draft. In each round, teams are presented with a choice of up to 8 players drawn semi-randomly. Star players tend to appear early in the draft, while role players appear later when rosters start to take shape.
