This update includes a number of minor bug fixes and game refinements, and also adds mouse-driving control to the gameplay. It is now possible to play the entire game without ever touching a keyboard or gamepad if desired. All gameplay menu prompts are now clickable and can be used to drive gameplay. Just my attempt to make Hunt the Muglump as accessible as possible. Enjoy!

Hunt the Muglump May, 2026 DevLogAfter a bit of a hiatus, I’m finally getting back into the flow—and this video felt like the perfect place to start. While working on updates for Hunt the Muglump, I ran into a gamepad/input issue that genuinely made no sense at first… the kind of bug where even after years of development experience, you just sit there thinking, “wait… what?” In this devlog, I walk through: What went wrong Why…7.1.1 UpdateWell update 7.1.0 wasn't the greatest, not going to lie. But 7.1.1 will be amazing :-D I fixed an issue with Gamepad detection that had to do with a conflict between Unity's Legacy Input System and the modern Input System. Also I built a Linux native build so Hunt the Muglump should work great on Steam Deck and Linux in general now rather than having to run through Proton.Update notes for build 7.1.0It's been a while since this game received any update. I've meant well but life happened. Anyway, I've removed the iOS controls from the Steam Windows and MacOS builds, updated some of the UI, fixed a few bugs, and overall improved the game experience.
