Die After Sunset Road To 1.0 - Player Animations

It's that time again defenders for some more UPDATES!

Last time we looked at the enemy reactions and how they change based on the players actions. Now it is time to look at the characters animations!

NEW IDLE ANIMATIONS

One way to give our characters some more personality is to add some idle animations. These are triggered if you wait around for a while without moving, which will be relatively difficult considering Murkers will be chasing you a lot!

However, when you can activate these animations they really make the character feel more.....well human. This has been implemented to April, Hune and of course Rido as well!

NEW CHEST ANIMATION

Gone of the days where a box will magically open from a touch of a button. We have applied a new animation where the character will now crouch to unlock the box. It's the little things that increases our immersion!

CHARACTER'S HEAD FOLLOWS THE CAMERA

To help build on a more immersive 3rd person experience we felt it is really important to implement head movement depending on where you put your camera. This small feature makes the character feel more alive and helps align when your are dealing with those pesky Murkers.

This is just the start of all small changes that we are making in the road to 1.0 and we are excited to show you more.

Stay Tuned!
