It's now been about two months since Occult Rewrite finally has been released on Steam and I can't thank enough all the support the players have given the game so far. As those of you who have been following the development closely on twitter know (and if you haven't, you can check it here) Occult Rewrite has been released in chapters. Chapter 1 covers everything up until the first real loop, better known as "Solar Ending", and Chapter 2 covers everything up until Aurora's Ending.
And now, as we approach the release of chapter 3, the last chapter of our adventure, there's some cool stuff in it I'd like to show everyone.
The development of chapter 3 has been happening since July, and as such, we already have several new scenarios written and a whole new story prepared for our beloved characters.
"I'll be waiting for you on top of the tower where I'll hear the answer to the question you've been entrusted to."
"That is to say: Who am I?"
When a tower appears from the mangled remains of the mansion, it's up to the group to make their way to the top, where a certain powerful being awaits them.
In each room, another puzzle awaits. A crime is comitted where someone is the "Sacrifice" and someone is the Culprit.
It's up to your investigation skills to find evidence of the deed...
And deliver swift justice!
Each room a different scenario awaits with a different piece of the puzzle.
And now for some quality of life stuff
We're working a complete translation of the game to spanish!
Thanks to a very helpful man by the name of Ariel Alejandro Muñoz chapters 1 and 2 will be available to play in both languages by the next update.
Some of the previous parts of the game will see an update as well, such as portraits and touched up backgrounds
We'll also be implementing a gallery with the game's CG and some commentary on the pieces.
So, when can you expect to see the update?
Chapter 3 is still in active development. 40% of the new scenarios are already written and illustrated.
The content will be finished by October with all the changes and illustrations complete. After a quick period of tests and implementation, please look forward to the final chapter releasing between October 20 - November 10
