There's a lot of depth to the combat and platforming gameplay of Skeleton Crew. While you figure out what style works for you and the various characters you can play as it's worth getting familiar with elements of the game that are always there to help you. None more prominent than ye olde satchel of life-saving, skull-crushing items aka your inventory. 🎒
With all the action going on as you traverse Kaparthia, slaying ghouls and bashing the ever-loving yeet out of enemies, you may forget that your character has inventory slots and they can be used to add a great advantage to your gameplay.
If your health is low you can gather potions to heal yourself during the game but if you're in dire need of edging away from the brink of death, it always helps to keep some stored for easy access. Potions come in 5 different forms - damage, haste, spirit, health and armour). Such items can be picked up post-battle or bought from a shoppe.
Items only become available to sit in your inventory once you've found them in-game. Keep an eye out for items that enemies, especially bosses drop. You can pick them up and use them there and then or store for future carnage.
Don't fancy lobbing a pumpkin 🎃 quite yet but have seen one that's taken your fancy? Pop it in your inventory for later on.
We don't want to spoil the fun so soon, there are a lot of items and play styles to try out in Skeleton Crew. We're looking forward to seeing what ye brave heroes come up with when the game launches.
