Marduk's Weaponry: the Progress

Hello, heralds!

We’re finishing our work on ranged weapons that will be wielded by Marduk.

Marduk, unlike Void, is a range-based herald. Controlling him revolves around managing his energy gauge. It fills when you deal damage to enemies (LMB to attack). Pressing, holding down and then releasing RMB eats that gauge and activates a special charged attack which is more powerful and usually has a bonus effect.

There will be several ranged weapon classes, and today we’re going to take a look at just two of them: “Automatic weapons” and “Rifles”. These terms are just placeholders—names are still being worked on.

Automatic weapon №1

Regular attack: shoots regular projectiles;
Special attack: shoots 1 projectile that explodes upon contact, with the chance to apply Burn DoT effect.

Automatic weapon №2

Regular attack: shoots 2 projectiles;
Special attack: a burst of multiple rapid shots.

Rifle №1

Regular attack: shoots one single projectile;
Special attack: a powerful shot followed by a shrapnel blast. The shrapnel blast has a chance to apply the 100% chance critical hit damage modifier to enemies.

Rifle №2

Regular attack: shoots one single projectile;
Special attack: shoots a projectile that can penetrate multiple targets at a great distance, applying the Trauma Bonus damage modifier.

----------------
Right now we are working on shotgun-type weapons that will function similarly to the 1st rifle’s special attack (powerful multi-projectile blasts).
