Hello Aquanauts!
After months of work on concept and preproduction we have finally reached the point when we can show you a gameplay video from Underwater Space game. So hold on and watch carefully our first video in devlog series, focused around the feeling of underwater space exploration:
Please keep in mind that the game is totally work in progress right now, so every piece of it is subject to change. Especially UI which serves as a placeholder for the time being. But on the other side we are pleased with how the game looks so a general feeling of the visuals probably will stay the same for the rest of the development.
Feeling of the unknown
The game takes place in deep waters. Almost the entire world looks like this after some unfortunate events we will talk about later on. You may recognize some structures from modern civilization but most of what you’ll see will be strangely new.
We encourage you to explore every inch of the underwater space. Set yourself for a journey in caves scattered everywhere, waiting to be visited. Find new species swimming around peacefully. Come closer to plants never seen before by a human… But be careful. There are rumours of monsters hiding near the bottom somewhere, hunting unprepared wanderers. Even some of the smaller fishes seem bizarre, like they possessed some kind of power that is too strong for them to hold inside. Should you explore that too...?
