Dev Diary Update #3

Hello everyone, I’m Rico Game Designer and Programmer of Anuchard, back again to deliver some updates about the game.

As I’ve mentioned last month, we’ve finished the draft for all the game content and we’re entering polishing and bugfixing phase until the end of this year.

We’ve been working hard to populate the world with some sidequests last month, this sidequests are optional, narrative driven, and have interesting reward to make your room prettier.
Make sure to talk to every villagers on each chapter!

Our artists also work very hard to make the graphics look better, for example here’s the mountain area, definitely looks a lot better than before right?

Before vs after

Other than sidequest, we’ve also been iterating dungeons and boss battles. Having extra time to iterate the level design, coming back to levels i’ve worked before, gave me fresh perspective and new ideas in improving the level.

For example one of the dungeons in the game revolves around the dice mechanic

In this iteration, we’ve realized that the dice mechanic can also be used for puzzles, so we added dice puzzles!

We also plan the puzzle to be as natural as possible so expect no tutorial for specific puzzles, just by looking at this screenshot, can you guess how this puzzle works?

We also have iterated final boss fight a bit, but I don’t think I should post that one here, since that would be a spoiler lol
