Update 1.1: Weapon Rebalancing

This update brings some big balancing changes to the weapons. That's the great thing about Early Access, I can change things up and see how it goes! The idea behind these changes is to decrease the reliance on the easier to shoot weapons (Scattergun and Sine Rifle) and encourage players to utilize every gun. Now that the harder to use weapons deal more damage, (Backzooka, IBMWLBM, and Perpendivolver) there should be more incentive to pick them up over an easier to use weapon. I want the player to think about making the risk-reward decision of choosing an easier weapon and doing less damage, or picking a harder weapon and potentially laying down the law on those fools.

Here's the list of the specific weapon changes:

  • Slightly increased the Backzooka's rocket speed
  • Increased the Backzooka's damage from 20 to 25
  • Increased the shooting velocity of the IBMWLBM
  • Increased the IBMWLBM's damage from 10 to 15 for AOE hits, and from 15 to 20 for direct hits
  • Increased the Perpendivolver's damage from 10 to 15
  • Increased the Sine Rifle's Damage from 10 to 12
  • Changed the random firing cone of the Scattergun from a 100° to a 130° min and max

And on top of that, here's a few small tweaks and fixes:

  • Made the chat window visible as soon as the end match screen appears, now you can get those gg's in right away
  • Fixed some character parts displaying the highest poly LOD when they shouldn't be

Lets just get right to it! Changes, Fixes, and Additions: · Added a small notification during gameplay when you die or get a kill. It displays info on whether your got a kill or died (duh) and how many points were gained or lost. The "last-man-standing" game mode has been replaced with a new and much better points-based system (detailed below). These changes reinforce the casual and friendly nature of the game by allowing players to participate in the entire match thanks to the removal of limited lives. This is an overdue change that goes a long way…
