In this segment, we're proud to introduce members from our cast and crew that are helping us to build the universe and narrative of our Squadron 51.
We're starting with João França, who played the glorious Major Ivan in both cinematics and voice acting during gameplay. Unfortunately, França passed away earlier this year, at 59 years old, leaving his wife, the great actress Adriane Azevedo, who's also on our cast playing the powerful Air Marshall Lamarca.
Almost everyone who graduated in film school in our state, Rio Grande do Sul, worked with him at some point. He loved to work with young people, we all learned from him, and he's always said that he learned a lot in every acting experience he ever had, be that a no-budget short film or a high-scale epic feature film.
João França had been working as an actor since 1990. Since then, he worked on a lot of films and theater plays, and gave his great voice to a number of videogames and commercials.
One of his most prolific partnerships was with our cinematics' director Felipe Iesbick, who directed him six times. They collaborated not only in "Squadron 51", but also in two TV series and three short films, including "O Matador de Bagé", the comedy action short film who gave him the Best Actor award in Gramado Film Festival, one of the biggest awards in our region.
This year, Iesbick made a beautiful in memoriam tribute for this year's Gramado Film Festival, that you can watch below so you can get a glimpse of his wonderful talent.
