THE LONG-AWAITED DEMENTIUM II HD SPAWNS TODAY ON STEAM
RELIVE THE NIGHTMARE OF WILLIAM REDMOOR
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIGH DEFINITION
DECEMBER 17, 2013 - Digital Tribe Games announced that Dementium II HD is being unleashed on Steam and other major digital distribution channels today. Spurred by popular demand from a devoted fanbase that first experienced the nightmarish world of William Redmoor on the Nintendo DS, the brand-new PC version of the cult classic launches at a special discounted price of $11.25 – a full 25% off the regular price.
This carefully crafted PC offering brings the tragic tale of loss, discovery and escape to a whole new audience of gamers in highly demented definition. Originally developed for the Nintendo DS by developer Renegade Kid, Dementium II quickly became a favorite of horror fans across the globe. Many of these fans pleaded for this technical marvel with a twisted story to get the big-screen treatment of a high-def PC game – and those demands were heard loud and clear by Digital Tribe Games.
Dementium II HD brings an all-new visual experience to the classic core gameplay. It includes a rebuilt lighting system, updated 3D models, hi-res textures, enhanced audio and refined controls that were never possible in its original incarnation; same bones, new flesh!
“We wanted to preserve the feel of the game; its soul,” says Producer Joe de Lange from Memetic, Dementium II HD’s developer. “The single biggest challenge was the fact that playing on the PC is a very different experience compared to playing on the DS. We spent a lot time working to get that balance right.”
