It's been roughly a month since the last update of Gym Tycoon. I've worked hard to get the next update ready for you all to enjoy, so let's get right into it!
This Update
I've been calling this update the "Content Update" for a while now. It is the first step in making the game more enjoyable to play for a longer time. This update brings a lot more furniture to the game, including 6 new exercise machines and 8 decorative items.
One major technical task I had to do was to add support to walls to allow attaching items on them (like the new paintings, mirror and TV). This refactor should also fix a rare crash bug that could happen when demolishing walls.
Finally, the game now has better environmental lighting including real time sky reflections and a better day/night cycle.
What's Next?
First, I want to take a little break of about a week. I've been working through the holiday season without a pause and I kind of feel that now. There will however, be some smaller updates to fix problems and/or update translations.
After the break, I will start work on the 2nd big update (which I named the "Feature Update"), in which I aim to introduce a player character and staff for your gym!
After the feature update, I might either work on an improvement update or another feature update for bars, but that's something for me to decide in the future.
