Hey everyone,
In response to increasing numbers of bug reports involving controller detection, we decided to implement an overhaul of how the game handles input. This update is now in the 'next_update' branch.
If you experience any problems with the controls, please send an email to [email protected] detailing your OS and controller type.
We will make this build available for all players once we confirm that there are no issues with the build. Mac/Linux builds will be arriving soon after.
By the way, the Alt Drifter has been unlocked for all players since the beginning of the Steam Summer Sale. Beat the game once to unlock the ability to play as her.
Changelog:
- KB+M and controller can be changed on-the-fly without going into the settings menu. The game will use whichever control was detected most recently.
- The game will no longer crash when disconnecting controllers.
- Button prompts default to Xbox style. If you prefer PS4 prompts, go to Settings + Controls -> Controls and switch to PS4. The game will remember your preference.
To switch to the 'next_update' branch:
1) Right click on Hyper Light Drifter in your Steam Library
2) Click on "Properties"
3) Click on the "BETAS" tab
4) Click the drop down menu and select the 'next_update' branch
5) Click the "close" button and your game should start updating immediately
