This historical ‘trilogy’ is not a real trilogy per se as there are many gameplay differences between selected games (slightly different genres and mechanics) and each title is set in a different historical setting:
- We. The Revolution - Great French Revolution;
- Help Will Come Tomorrow - Bolshevik Revolution in Russia;
- The Amazing American Circus - Early 19th Century United States on the verge of the Industrial revolution and late wild west;
However, even if these games are not a real trilogy, they share the following features:
- Story dedicated to mature players seeking deep and multilayered narrative
- Plot inspired by momentous historical and political events
- Unique hand-drawn 2D visuals
- Ambitious socially-engaged message
- A storyline full of moral choices
- Good gameplay quality
If you like games set in the historical background, and you are open to being surprised by a blend of different genres and mechanics, it is worth checking all these titles.
