Hello everyone and welcome to Oddinary Highway Biweekly update!
Anton here. In this update I will cover recent developments of Oddinary Highway.
As you might know, Indie Arena Booth is large booth for indies which runs during Gamescom in Cologne. This year is not exception, but everything happens online. After previous video, Indie Arena Booth has announced its lineup for this year. And Oddinary Highway is part of it!
Showcase will be replaced with special interactive experience where visitors can explore virtual booths of developers. Each developer should prepare his own booth. For majority of the time since previous biweekly update we have been working on the booth for Oddinary Highway. It was quite fun and we are very happy with the final result. Looking forward to seeing you on our virtual booth!
We are preparing something special for the event itself, which is happening on August 27th till August 30th. So don’t miss the chance to play Oddinary Highway again during that time!
Once booth was more or less done, we switched back to the development. I decided to revise existing boss from Ocean World called Relation Ship. It has several missing animations. And I started with weapons. During work on it, I found quite severe problem how rotation of weapons is done. In the end we had incorrect calculations for initial rotation angle of the weapon. After fixing this issue, I have finalized work on one of the weapons and going to finish other missing animations in upcoming days.
As usual, there are several non-development activities. We have to prepare demo build for Indie Arena Booth and reach out streamers/youtubers ahead of event. But we try to balance it with progress on the game!
