Development update
First things first - the development of Bonkies is going full-speed and the game has just reached Beta status! We’re adding some final features (single player mode is here!), ruthlessly exterminating bugs and polishing every corner of the Solar System, to prepare it to receive all of you space-engineers! This, of course, is a long process and there’s still work to be done, but the game is closer to being finished literally every day! We’ll happily share some more specific updates soon, but for now, we just wanted to assure you that we’re motivated as ever to bring you the most fun couch co-op experience on this side of the Milky Way!
But let’s get serious for a second. In order to properly execute all of the tasks necessary to prepare Bonkies for the official launch, we have to “unpublish” it for a while. That means the game will not be available to buy for now. Those who own the game can still play it and very soon we will let you know how to access the newest build of the game via a Beta Branch.
Now on to some other stuff. And big stuff it is, Stuff with a capital S!
Bonkies now have a publisher
We’re very happy to announce that we’re partnering up with Crunching Koalas - a Polish publishing and development studio specialized in consoles. They will add their expertise and experience in helping promising projects rise to their full potential, taking over the marketing and publishing duties, and allowing us to focus more clearly on developing Bonkies!
“Wait a second”, we can hear you say, “did you mention a studio SPECIALIZED IN CONSOLES!?”
New platforms and the release date
Yes, and to answer the next question rising so quickly from your throats - yes again. Bonkies will launch simultaneously on PC and consoles sometime during summer 2020!

Crunching Koalas already have a stellar record of titles they have helped bring to other platforms (Frostpunk, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales and Darkwood, to name a few) and we’re happy Bonkies is joining the roster!
Bonkies at Digital Dragons Indie Celebration and playable demo!
To put a banana on top of this, we have some more exciting things to announce: Bonkies have been chosen to participate in the Digital Dragons Indie Celebration online event! It starts now and will last until the 15th of May and it will showcase 50 indie games from around the world. A jury of esteemed game industry experts will choose 3 titles to award and the community will pick the 4th!
During this event, you will be able to play a new Bonkies demo, along with other titles, see livestreams and interviews and find out more about amazing, upcoming games!
We can’t wait for you all to play the final, fully polished and shiny version of Bonkies and we’re working hard to make it happen! After all, colonizing the Solar System is no easy task! (unless you’re a monkey)
