The first patch release for Turtle VR has just been published. This patch includes:

Version Number
The current Turtle VR version number has been added to the top left of the main map tablet.

New Blocks
The following new blocks have been added under the Turtle category:

  • reset position - Jumps the turtle to the world origin, without drawing a line
  • rotate to - Allows for an absolute rotation of the turtle
  • reset rotation - Returns the turtle to the starting world rotation

The help information on these blocks have also been added. Also with these blocks, the version number of the saved files has been increased, so you'll need at least Turtle VR v1.1 to load any files saved with this release.

New Examples
The following examples have been added under the Examples tab when loading programs:

  • Ball (shown in the launch trailer)
  • Rainbow Room
  • Star
  • Tall Squares
  • Tall Squares Spiral (also shown in the launch trailer)

For the Rainbow Room, you'll want to turn on the Render Using Hue and Do Color Cycling view options. Stand inside the drawing for the best effect.

Enjoy!
