Meet the Forager dev team!

Hey Foragers!

When Forager first came out back in April, gamers all around the world told me they liked the game and they were excited about its future potential. I originally thought the game was 100% done and was ready to move on. But then noticed people leaving comments such as "It's a great base! Make more content for it!".

Why not add more content? Why not add more lands/items/skills/enemies/biomes/etc? There truly was a great base to work with. Gamers were right!

So I came up with a plan! I took the money Forager made and decided to put it back to development so we can keep expanding the game for everyone for FREE!

The main issue I noticed is that a single person can't possibly expand a game as quickly as I wanted, so I hired a bunch of awesome people to help! Today I want to introduce you to the current Forager dev team:

HopFrog (Design/Business)

I made the original game! I had a lot of fun making it and I want devs and gamers to work together to improve it even more for years to come! Let's make this game awesome!

lazyeye (Lead Programming)

Heya! I’m lazyeye, a game dev from the Chicagoland area. I taught myself how to make video games while I was in college and eventually dropped out to start coding them as a career. About a year later I met Hop and helped him optimize Forager, and now I’m the lead programmer for the game! Blame any bugs on Nomm, though, not me. ;)

Nommin (Programming)

Hi, I'm Nommiin! I'm an 18-year-old self-taught programmer from the US! I got into game development with the dream of making a Metroid fan-game in GameMaker! Since then, I've worked on numerous GameMaker projects, learned many different programming languages, and now I'm working as an assistant programmer for Forager!

Jon (Illustrations)

Hi, I do all of the illustration work for Forager! When I'm not doing that, I'm usually drawing comics. I draw a lot of comics. Some of the better ones even got published into books!

Powers: The ability to draw until two o'clock in the morning.

Secret Identity: Dad.

Ryan (Community Management)

Hey! I'm Ryan, Forager's Community Manager from Scotland. Originally just an average member/moderator of the Discord server, I took a large interest in helping out and working with Hop and the community, now here I am on the team! Talking to and working with our community is always a pleasure, so many talented and neat individuals around!

Rottana (Pixel Art)

I've recently hopped on board as the new pixel artist for Forager!
I did all the new sprites for the Combat Update. I am excited to be working alongside these amazing, talented people and the wonderful community!

Topher (Audio)

Hey, I'm Topher! Most people shorten it to just Toph though. I make sound effects for Forager! Also, I made the bot used in the official Discord! It's kind of like my baby. Please be nice to them.

Join our Discord server here to chat with us directly and tell us what we should work on next!

With your ideas and suggestions, we will keep working on this game for years to come!

Happy Foraging!
