What Is Next for Mad Machines?

Mad Machines has always been a game built by the community, our community has always been a big influence in everything we do, from helping us bug hunt to implementing ideas entirely came up with by the community. Making the game the people want is priority number one to the Hero Blocks team, and this month is no exception. Starting today, September 4th, Mad Machines is entering a large rework and optimization period, and because of this we have decided to temporarily remove Mad Machines from the Steam and Discord stores. This is a temporary decision, and we will have more information for you on October 1st. During this period Mad Machines will go through some big changes the community has been asking for, and we believe these changes are large enough to temporarily remove the game from the store as we would like to launch these changes to a larger audience rather than having new players experience the current state of Mad Machines.

What Does This Mean for Current Players?

Players who have already purchased Mad Machines will see no change in their ability to download, install, and play the game. Even if you acquired Mad Machines 6 months ago and never installed the game you can still download it anytime and start playing. All this decision means is that the games store pages will temporarily be down. During this time we have decided to reduce the number of servers to only the EU and US-W servers. If these servers are not enough for everyone then a second US server is a possibility, and something we will work for if the demand is there.

October 1st

Remember this date! That is the day we will be back to excitedly show you all the work we’ve been doing lately. Reworks, optimizations, and a core refinement that we hope will make Mad Machines better than ever before. Until then, please keep the suggestions coming, and we will still be working closely with our community to ensure they do experience any issues during this transitional time.

Come talk with us!
