Commanders!

Modern Warships is entering an important new phase: the game is preparing for its Steam launch and significantly expanding its horizons. The project continues to evolve actively — new ships are joining the ranks, the arsenal is growing, and the January 2026 update brings a substantial set of fresh features. Below is a detailed overview of version 0.100, which is sure to excite fans of modern naval warfare.

🛳️ Assault Landing Ship RF Vladimir Andreev

Country: Russia

Tier: III

Role: One of the fastest and most maneuverable ships in its class

The lead ship of Project 11711M for the Russian Navy. It features increased displacement and dimensions, along with more powerful propulsion systems. The use of modern stealth technologies and high equipment modularity fully aligns with contemporary standards for versatile fleet operations.

In-game, this ship stands out as one of the fastest in its tier, enabling confident maneuvering, rapid course changes, and effective use of its arsenal for both offense and defense across different areas of the battlefield. This makes it a truly universal platform capable of handling a wide variety of tasks.

🛳️ Battleship HMS Hood

Country: United Kingdom

Tier: III

Role: Battleship with excellent seakeeping and speed

HMS Hood — a legend of the Royal Navy that remained the world’s largest warship for two decades after commissioning. A comprehensive modern upgrade has equipped it to counter any contemporary threat: its armament now includes missile systems, grenade launchers, and upgraded air-defense suites that fully meet modern combat standards.

The modernization with cutting-edge equipment has greatly benefited this classic British battleship. It can now employ current-generation missiles and grenade launchers while enjoying dramatically improved overall combat effectiveness. The most notable enhancement is the significantly strengthened air defense, making the ship far more resilient against modern threats.

HMS Hood will be a fantastic addition to any collection and a strong contender for regular use in battle thanks to its excellent balance of powerful armament and superior mobility. With this second chance and extensive modernization, you have the opportunity to ensure its legacy avoids repeating the events in the Denmark Strait.

🛳️ Destroyer RF Admiral Chabanenko

Country: Russia

Tier: III

Role: Missile destroyer

RF Admiral Chabanenko — a Project 1155.1 destroyer of the Russian Navy. This is a deeply modernized version with significantly enhanced missile armament: outdated launchers have been replaced by contemporary systems, including a universal vertical launch system. The destroyer’s arsenal provides effective countermeasures against all major types of naval threats.

Tactically, the new Russian destroyer offers players multiple playstyles, allowing flexible adaptation to the evolving battlefield situation. It excels primarily as a support ship, operating behind sturdier allies while delivering missile strikes and grenade launcher fire to gradually pressure enemy forces from a safe distance.

RF Admiral Chabanenko is an excellent choice for players who prefer thoughtful, methodical gameplay — methodically disabling enemy ships with allied support rather than rushing into the front line. At the same time, it performs superbly as a relentless submarine hunter, pursuing underwater targets and leaving them little chance of escape.

🛳️ Cruiser USS Shiloh (CG-67)

Country: United States

Tier: III

Role: Multi-purpose missile cruiser

A Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser that participated in Operation Desert Strike, Operation Southern Watch, and numerous other combat missions. Equipped with highly modular systems that allow easy replacement of key armament and equipment as needed. The cruiser also boasts excellent maneuverability and speed for reliable operation in any sea conditions.

✈️ Strike Aircraft MiG-27K Flogger-J2

Country: Russia

Tier: III

Role: Fighter-bomber with missile armament

A Soviet third-generation supersonic strike aircraft with variable-sweep wings and a single-engine configuration. Designed primarily for attacking surface targets but also capable of engaging enemy aircraft.

✈️ Strike Aircraft GCAP

Country: United Kingdom

Tier: III

Role: Next-generation strike aircraft

A multinational next-generation fighter developed under the Global Combat Air Programme, led by the United Kingdom with participation from Japan and Italy. This twin-engine aircraft features distinctive curved delta wings and is capable of engaging both surface and air targets.

🚁 Helicopter Mi-42 Comet

Country: Russia

Tier: III

Role: Experimental attack helicopter

An experimental Soviet combat helicopter project from the early 1980s. Distinguished by high speed and durability, stealth technologies, and a NOTAR tail system. Capable of engaging all types of targets.

Unmanned Surface Vehicle Murena-300S

Country: Russia

Tier: III

Role: Unmanned boat with self-detonating warhead

A Russian unmanned surface vessel developed for modern naval tasks. Suitable for both reconnaissance and striking surface targets using a powerful self-detonating warhead. The platform is also equipped with a laser-based air-defense system for protection against aerial threats.

Missile (ASM) Shtil-1

Country: Russia

Tier: III

Role: Dual-purpose missile

A Russian multi-role shipborne missile suitable for both air defense and surface target engagement. Effective at medium ranges with fast reload times.

Autocannon 3M47-03E Komar

Country: Russia

Tier: III

Role: Universal close-in defense module

The unique “Komar” automated missile system. Fires Igla-S missiles against surface and air targets at close range. Highly effective as additional automated ship protection.

Air Defense GWS-25 Sea Wolf

Country: United Kingdom

Tier: III

Role: High-performance SAM system

A British naval air-defense missile system introduced in the 1970s. Fires multiple fast missiles in a single salvo, delivering area damage.

Missile (ASM) Fattah-2

Country: Iran

Tier: III

Role: Hypersonic missile

An Iranian hypersonic missile with exceptional speed and reinforced structure. Designed for effective long-range strikes against surface targets.

During World War II, it became clear that even a giant bristling with hundreds of guns could be sent to the bottom remarkably quickly by carrier-based aircraft.
